APSC CCE Recruitment 2025

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) invites applications for the Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, 2024 for 289 posts.

This follows the successful completion of the CCE Preliminary Exam 2024 on 8th June 2025, with results declared on 17th July 2025. Qualified candidates can apply online from 22nd July 2025 to 5th August 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: A Degree from a recognized University under Central/State Legislature or UGC Act, 1956.
  • Age Limit: 21 to 38 years as on 01.01.2024.
  • Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
  • Language Proficiency: Ability to speak Assamese or other official/tribal languages of Assam.
  • Residentship: Must be an original inhabitant of Assam.
  • Employment Exchange: Registered in a District Employment Office of Assam.
  • Small Family Norms: Submit a declaration in Form-A during Prelim application.

Eligible candidates can apply online via the APSC official portal by following these steps:

  2. Click on the "Online Application Form" link.
  3. Enter personal and educational details as required.
  4. Upload passport-sized photograph, signature, and other documents.
  5. Pay the application fee based on your category.
  6. Submit the form and take a printout of the application.

Selection Process

The APSC CCE consists of two stages:

1. Preliminary Examination

  • Date: 8th June 2025
  • Type: Objective type, two papers (General Studies-I & II).
  • Total Marks: 400 (200 each).
  • Duration: 2 hours per paper.
  • Negative Marking: 1/4th mark deducted per wrong answer.
  • Exam Centres: Multiple locations across Assam.

2. Main Examination

  • Written Exam:
    • Date: 11th to 13th October 2025
    • Type: Descriptive and Objective, 6 papers.
    • Total Marks: 1500 (250 each).
    • Duration: 3 hours per paper.
    • Medium: English or Assamese.
    • Exam Centre: Guwahati.
  • Interview/Personality Test:
    • Total Marks: 180
    • Ratio: 1:3 against vacancies.
    • Exam Centre: Guwahati.

Final ranking is based on Main Exam (Written + Interview) marks.
