Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India as per Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 31st July 2025.
Age Relaxation:
- OBC: 3 years
- SC: 5 years
- STP/STH: 5 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Employment Exchange: Must have a valid Employment Exchange Registration for Assam.
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any stream from a UGC recognized University.
Computer Knowledge: Certificate of 3 months duration in Computer Knowledge.
Language Proficiency: Knowledge of Assamese, the official language of Assam.

Selection Process

Stage I: Common Written Test
- Type: OMR-based objective questions
- Duration: 2 hours
- Total Marks: 120 marks
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer
- Syllabus: General English (50 marks), General Knowledge including Computer Knowledge (30 marks), General Aptitude (20 marks), Assamese Language (20 marks, qualifying with 8 marks minimum)
- Shortlisting: Candidates in 1:5 ratio for Computer Skill Test
Stage II: Computer Skill Test
- Total Marks: 35 marks
- Typing Test: 20 marks (speed and accuracy in typing software)
- Proficiency in Word Processor/Spreadsheet: 15 marks
- Shortlisting: Candidates in 1:3 ratio for Viva-voce
Stage III: Viva-voce
- Total Marks: 15 marks
- Final Selection: Based on total marks (150 marks) from Written Test, Computer Skill Test, and Viva-voce, district-wise.
