Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India as per Articles 5 and 6 of the Constitution.
- Age Limit: Maximum 40 years as on 31st July 2025. Relaxation: OBC: 3 years, SC/STP/STH: 5 years, PwBD: 10 years.
- Educational Qualification: Graduate in any stream from a UGC-recognized university.
- Computer Knowledge: Must have a 3-month computer knowledge certificate.
- Language Proficiency: Knowledge of the official language of Assam (Assamese).
- Employment Exchange: Valid Assam Employment Exchange registration number.

- Others: Rs. 500/-
- Payment Mode: Via challan at any State Bank of India branch by 5th August 2025.

Selection Process
The selection process includes three stages:
Stage I: Common Written Test
- Type: OMR-based objective questions
- Duration: 2 hours
- Total Marks: 120
- Syllabus: General English (50 marks), General Knowledge including Computer Knowledge (30 marks), General Aptitude (20 marks), Assamese Language (20 marks, qualifying, 40% required)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer
- Shortlisting: Top 1:5 candidates (5 times the posts in a district) proceed to Stage II.
Stage II: Computer Skill Test (35 marks)
- Typing Test (20 marks): Tests typing speed and accuracy in word processing software.
- Proficiency Test (15 marks): Tests skills in word processor and spreadsheet software.
- Shortlisting: Top 1:3 candidates (3 times the posts in a district) proceed to Stage III.
Stage III: Viva-Voce (15 marks)
Final selection is based on the grand total of 150 marks (Written Test: 100, Computer Skill Test: 35, Viva-Voce: 15), prepared district-wise.
